The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW Awards is now into their 20th year, recently awarding Crimson Hill an Award for Excellence Commendation in the Medium Density Residential category.
At a gala dinner held at The Star Sydney, the team which included architects Bates Smart and Turf Design Studio, accepted the award alongside DHA. The award celebrates projects that display the highest levels of sustainability and innovation; leading the urban development industry in NSW and ACT.
Crimson Hill in Lindfield is Defence Housing Australia’s latest masterplanned community, straddling Lane Cove National Park in Sydney’s north. Turf Design Studio was engaged as part of the design team with Bates Smart to masterplan three of the five new residential precincts, tied together by an interconnected network of communal public spaces, lanes and walkways.
Each precinct is unique, yet remains true to its surrounding bushland context and offers residents places to relax, play and gather with friends and family.
Turf Design Studio remains an ongoing consultant in the design and development of Crimson Hill.
